Why it's Great to Fundraise for WildAid

You may have come across one of our fundraisers during your high street shop? In all climates our fundraisers are out there. Passionately advocating for wildlife, for people, where their passions lie.  We hope you have had the opportunity to stop and chat because you will find out that it is great to give to our cause - it is even better to be involved.

Jim is one of our long standing fundraisers so we recently asked him about why fundraising is a part of his life. In a short yet powerful statement Jim said:

"I have enjoyed the 7 years I have been fundraising for WildAid. I have always been interested in preserving our wildlfie and fundraising has given me that opportunity. Fundraising has given me the opportunity to tell people about the good work we do and the public share their experiences with me about what they are doing to help protect our wildlife".

"It is an education experience and i look forward to future years of being pro-active with the public and providing funds to enable WildAid to fund the care and protection of our wildlife"

We know that we are making a positive impact in the community. Our fundraisers have lots to celebrate:

Raising funds directly for wildlife hospitals across the north of England - Heat mats, incubators, microscopes, Hedgehog release boxes, aviaries, medical equipment are just some of the life saving resources we have distributed.

Because of Jim and all our fundraisers we have also been able to deliver workshops to over 2000 young people this last year. Young people who had never realised about wildlfie rescue and are now richer for the knowledge of. Children are more inclined to be compasisonate for wildlife, more aware of what to do in the circumstance of finding a poorly wild animal or wild bird as well as understanding absout the natural world.

We have launched Wildlife Link - a new initiative to enable you to celebrate the wildlife lover in your life. A very exciting way to fundraise for wildlife rescue and celebrate that special person in your life. We have reached a milestone 'linking' 10 schools already! You should check Wildlife Link out on our website.

So as we continue to advocate and celebrate for wildlfie rescue it is our fundraisers and you which must also be celebrated. Without you we would not be here!

WildAid is making an impact and we want you to be a part of our team!

"It's all about encouraging people to participate and learn about the natural world through hands on discovery."
