Chorley Hedgehog Rescue Centre Challenge

WildAid visited Chorley hedgehog Rescue in mid November.  We were overwhelmed by the number of Hedgehogs currently convalescing at the home of Janette. Completely self funded and supported by a small number of friends and family Janette cares for over 200 Hedgehogs. The majority being autumn juveniles too underweight to be released this winter.

Janette explains "It's like Groundhog Day everyday. We have poorly Hedgehogs with lung worm, others with injuries suffered from garden machinery, litter and now the vast number of youngsters being found in all sorts of conditions which need medical care. It is overwhelming."

A visit to Janette and you will see the love and care she and her friends give to these little creatures.

Janette continues " I am desperate for medical equipment, food, blankets and i am running out of space. I need extra work space".

Chorley Hedgehog Rescue run a fantastic Hedgehog foster scheme where following a short fostering a Hedgehog workshop supporters can offer a safe haven for a Hedgehog during the winter. This is a fantastic provision and we urge anyone who loves wildlife to consider doing this.

So how can you help us to help Janette at Chorley hedgehog Rescue Centre?  With a generous donation we will run a fundraiser to provide the medical equipment Janette needs and hopefully an extension to her work space. You have already helped us deliver 2 wildlife challenges and we know you can again. So please support whatever you can!

We aim to raise a minimum of £250.00 before January 31st 2018.

PLEASE DONATE generously here or send us a message if you prefer to donate another way i.e.cheque. Thank you

"It's all about encouraging people to participate and learn about the natural world through hands on discovery."
