Baking to Success
Earlier in the Summer we were delighted to be contacted by The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) wishing to support our WildAid Challenge with a cakes, bakes and treats sale - yes please.
Organised by Juliet, starting out on her Summer internship, who quickly organised a collection of delicious muffins and cakes from The Hummingbird Bakery, these tasty treats were soon selling out for hungry Defra employees participating in their Annual Sports Day.
Juliet and her colleagues raised a fantastic £105 for our first WildAid Challenge which will provide vital equipment for Selby Hedgehog Haven in Yorkshire. Speaking with Selby Hedeghog Hospital, Victoria from the hospital said ''We receive many poorly Hedgehogs and urgently need hospital equipment and food for our patients'' ''I am thrilled and so thankful''.
Here at WildAid we are so grateful for Juliet's awareness of our cause and for all her and her colleagues support. Wishing you all the best of luck in your careers and furures.
Hosting a fundraiser such as a cake bake for WildAid has a huge impact. So we would love to hear from you.
"It's all about encouraging people to participate and learn about the natural world through hands on discovery."
Established over 25 years ago, as a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre, WildAid has been making a difference for wildlife welfare throughout the UK ever since.
The projects run by WildAid depend upon the generosity and kindness of our supporters.Donate
