Wild Time on the Beach

WildAid has a well established record in providing high quality environmental education. Over the past 5 years we have delivered many environmental and wildlife topics and now we are going to the beach. Our Beach School activities take place across the North Lancashire coast between Cleveleys and Fleetwood.

What is Beach School?

Beach School is an inspirational process that offers children regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning on the beach.

The main aim of our Beach School is to ensure that children benefit from their outdoor experiences, promoting positivity and encouraging confidence,  Beach School provides a different approach to learning and sessions include the following key characteristics:

  • Often child led
  • Happen regularly over time
  • Take place outdoors in the natural environment
  • Take place in all weathers
  • Run by trained Beach School practitioners
  • Provide opportunity for risk taking

Our Beach School activities can include:

  • Coastal habitat explorer: strandline scavenger hunt
  • Rock pool and tidal pool exploring
  • Sand sculptures
  • Kelly kettles and hot chocolate
  • Nature surveys
  • Beach games

Beach School Repeat Sessions:

We like students to come for a minimum of four half-day sessions. We are happy to offer more than four sessions if this is deemed to be beneficial to the children concerned.

We work with small groups of between eight and 12 students

Sound good? Get the sand between your toes and contact us. Look forward to exploring with you.

"It's all about encouraging people to participate and learn about the natural world through hands on discovery."
